Conduct risk assessments and surveys for commercial underwriting, prepare detailed reports, identify loss exposures, and recommend strategies to reduce claims. Advise policyholders and agents on hazard controls, safety programs, training, accident investigations, industrial hygiene, and workplace safety. Build stakeholder relationships, evaluate accounts against underwriting standards, maintain territory contacts, and travel throughout the assigned region. Use applicable safety codes and standards while meeting quality, productivity, and timeliness goals.

Develops internal and external corporate communications through journalistic storytelling, content strategy, executive communications, and brand-aligned messaging. Translates complex insurance concepts into accessible content, manages multi-channel calendars and projects, interviews stakeholders, and connects organizational stories to strategic goals. Collaborates cross-functionally to produce compelling written content and thought leadership while tailoring communications to diverse audiences and corporate leaders.

Monitors commercial underwriting consistency through audits, communicates findings, and advises on guidelines, risk assessment, coverage interpretation, and best practices. Develops and delivers employee training, maintains reference materials, supports policy and process improvements, evaluates vendors and programs, and contributes to cross-functional projects and product innovation. Some travel may be required for training, professional development, and agency contacts.
