Now a trendy neighborhood filled with art galleries, breweries, restaurants and bars, not too long ago this area was filled with empty warehouses. Today, the neighborhood is exploding with new arrivals, rising rents and new tech offices. River North’s borders stretch more or less from Park Avenue to I-70 and from I-25 to Lawrence Street. Expect little tree cover, and plenty of tattoos and beards.

Word on the street:

  • "We love working in RiNO because the entire neighborhood feels like one big start up.  Entrepreneurs are turning old warehouses into restaurants, breweries and awesome new shops.  We feel like there's always something unique and different being tried, and we love that spirit!" - Holly Priestley, Marketing and Events Coordinator at Utivity
  • "Before I started working out of a co-working space in RiNo, I thought the area was only breweries, warehouses, and hipsters. But after a year of exploring, I've learned that RiNo is about so much more. It's a burgeoning professional scene, with plenty of yuppies wandering around during the day. It's good coffee, good food, and good drinks, with new restaurants and bars opening all the time. The alleyways are embraced as giant canvases for artists, and are often "wiped clean" so that someone new can come transform the walls with their artistic vision. It's offices built out of shipping containers, and a shiny new "technical cashmere" store butted up against an ancient sausage factory. The parks and green spaces are havens for friendly homeless people that give me compliments and joke with me as I walk by. It's free parking, a short commute, less boisterous than LoDo, and cleaner than downtown." - Megan Peddycord, Brand Marketing Associate with Blackboard

CBRE’s take: "RiNo is always on the short list for creative and tech companies both inside and outside of Colorado who are drawn to its gritty, industrial-chic atmosphere and easy access to downtown. As its popularity continues to grow and the light rail system expands, office product supply may struggle to keep up with the impressive demand." - Hadley Cox, Vice President with CBRE Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services in Denver
