Direct Travel, a corporate travel management company based in Centennial, has been acquired by a group of investors led by Steve Singh, founder of Concur. Singh will serve as Executive Chairman, while Christal Bemont, former CEO of Talend, will take on the role of Direct Travel’s CEO.
Direct Travel combines its own AI innovations and integrations with travel technology platforms to provide high-quality client experiences. Its technology stack includes Travel-as-a-Service platform Spotnana, card-first expense management tool Center and group meetings and events solution Troop. Direct Travel serves more than 4,500 mid-market and enterprise businesses and has offices in over 80 locations across North America and the United Kingdom.
The company plans to invest in meeting current customer needs, expanding its customer base, entering new markets and delivering more products. As part of the acquisition, Ed Adams, the long-serving CEO and founder of Direct Travel, will retire. Bemont, with extensive experience in the travel industry, aims to build an innovative travel management company in collaboration with former Concur executives and technology partners.
