Whimsical gained $30M. The Denver-based tech company raised $30 million in its first fundraising round. Whimsical is an app that integrates flowcharts, documents, mind maps and more onto one platform. The company was formed to bring the remote workforce together, and its latest funding will allow the company to expand and hire additional staff. [Built In Colorado]

AgentSync acquired Finvera. The insurtech startup acquired Finvera, a software that uses a cloud identity passport to verify licensed brokers, for an undisclosed amount. AgentSync builds tools and infrastructure for the insurance industry and provides a comprehensive platform for producer management teams. TIFIN raised $47M. TIFIN, which stands for Technology In Finance, is a platform that uses AI for wealth management. The Boulder-based company raised $47 million in its third funding round this year with investment from J.P. Hakkoda secured $5.6M. Boulder-based Hakkoda has cloud data experts that specialize in Snowflake but also in data migration, architecture and analytics. The funding will go towards expanding its presence in the U.S. and Costa Rica. Hakkoda also expects to hire 300 people for its facility delivery and customer innovation center in Costa Rica. Skullcandy CMO joins The Pro’s Closet. Jessica Klodnicki, an outdoor industry and cycling expert and CMO of consumer electronics leader Skullcandy, joined The Pro’s Closet board of directors. Klodnicki aims to help the company become more sustainable by looking into recyclable packaging and a carbon-neutral checkout option.
