You won't want to miss these 5 Colorado tech events this week

Every week, we dig through our events calendar and hand-select five events worth checking out. We’re looking forward to these five events:

 

Inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, April 5 at 6 p.m.

The Innovation Pavillion, Douglas County Schools and Better Together are hosting members of the community this week, designed to connect entrepreneurs and K-8 students to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Bitcoin basics, April 5 at 6 p.m.

Ever wanted to learn more about Bitcoin? SecureSet is hosting a “101” style workshop to discover the basics of Bitcoin. You’ll have networking opportunities, a chance to get hands-on and the opportunity to ask questions to a panel of experts.

Leading for diversity and inclusion, April 6 at 4 p.m.

Colorado’s tech community has some work to do with diversity and inclusion. The Colorado Technology Association will co-host a panel discussion with the Vail Centre this week, where you’ll learn how to become a leader in diversity and inclusion in your own company and community.

“Go Against the Flow” film screening, April 6 at 6 p.m.

Join General Assembly for a screening of Go Against the Flow, a documentary about women paving their way in male-dominated fields. At this screening, you’ll hear from founders of Cloudflare, Rockhealth and Women Who Code, as they share how they stepped away from their careers and became entrepreneurs.

Go Code challenge weekend, April 7 through April 9

Go Code Colorado’s challenge weekend is finally here. Challenge teams will gather across the state to work on their civic tech projects with the help of mentors and some free refreshments. Register your team or build one there and contribute to Colorado while competing for Go Code glory.
