AMP has recently appointed Tim Stuart as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Matanya Horowitz, the company’s founder. Horowitz will now assume the role of chief technology officer. This strategic shift in leadership is designed to leverage Stuart’s extensive experience in the waste and recycling industry to expand the reach of AMP’s solutions among waste companies and municipalities.
AMP works to enhance recycling infrastructure through AI-powered sortation technology, aiming to maximize the value extracted from waste. Its technology assists in reducing labor costs, increasing resource recovery and ensuring more reliable operations in the waste and recycling sectors.
Prior to joining AMP, Stuart had a career at Republic Services that spanned almost two decades. There, he served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer, contributing to the adoption and scale of new technologies. Stuart also brings experience from over a decade spent at Waste Management, Inc. In his new role, Stuart is expected to apply his ample industry knowledge toward enhancing AMP’s ability to compete within the waste and recycling sector.
