Product Management Hiring/Applying, July 28 at 6:30 p.m.

It’s odd that many of us spend huge amounts of money and time to get an education and solid work experience, yet don’t take the extra step of learning best practices about the hiring process. This event will feature lightening talks about how to get hired as a Product Manager. You’ll learn how to interview, how to design your resume, and a bunch of other stuff that’ll help you actually land the big job.

Q&A With Brett Jurgens of Notion, July 29 at 6 p.m.

This event will feature some networking, followed by a question and answer session with Brett Jurgens, the Co-Founder and CEO of Notion. Jurgen helped Notion launch a Kickstarter that ended up generating over a quarter of a million dollars in just 30 days, and you can ask him all about it.

Think Like a Filmmaker - The Power of Visual Storytelling, July 28 at 6 p.m.

Video is huge these days, and only expected to grow. According to the organizers of this event, by 2017 video will account for 69 percent of all consumer Internet traffic. This event will help you learn to think like a videographer. You’ll learn the basics of how to tell your story through video, and who knows; maybe you can capture a sliver of the over one billion unique visitors that YouTube gets every month.

Startup Grind Denver Hosts Brad Feld, July 30 at 6 p.m.

Anybody who is anybody will be there — at least in the Colorado tech world. The event will start with an hour of networking, and then be followed by a fireside chat with Brad Feld. The evening will finish out with even more networking. You're pretty much guaranteed to meet some interesting people, and Feld is always fun to listen to. 

How to Build a Website: HTML & CSS for Beginners, August 1 at 1 p.m.

This is actually a two day course that will fill your weekend with some intense web design basics. You’ll learn how to make a website with HTML and CSS, and how to manipulate existing code to tweak an website. The class is sponsored by the Turing School of Software and Design, so you know it’ll be good.
