These 4 Colorado Tech Companies Raised September’s Top Rounds

Space innovators in Colorado received plenty of fresh funding last month. Additionally, a few greentech and biotech companies are equipped with new capital to fuel the development of their solutions. Read on to learn more.

Top Colorado Tech Funding Rounds, September 2023

    #4. $7 million, September 19

    Following a $7 million seed extension round, space traffic coordination company Kayhan plans to fund its traffic management solution Pathfinder and expand its customer base. Its latest raise came from investors Space Capital and EVE Atlas. The company plans to roll out a beta version of a Pathfinder update that free-tier users can access. The platform works to automate space collision avoidance maneuvers.

     

    #3. $8.7 million, September 19

    Headquartered in Boulder, BioLoomics uses its humancell directed evolution platform to evolve fluorescent reporter cells with the goal of finding antibody designs that leverage new mechanisms for target degradation. The company raised a round of seed financing led by Innovation Endeavors to develop pre-clinical assets and form partnerships with large pharma companies.

     

    #2. $12 million, September 11

    Optera wants to help businesses lower their carbon emissions. The Boulder-based greentech company offers a carbon management platform for companies’ operations, supply chains and products. Its Series A from lead investor Next Frontier Capital will go toward accelerating  product innovation and growing its sales and marketing teams.

     

    #1. $290 million, September 26

    On a mission to revolutionize the space economy of tomorrow, Louisville-based Sierra Space develops commercial space solutions including its Dream Chaser spaceplane and a three-story space station. Its Series B funding from MUFG, Kanematsu Corporation and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance and others will fuel continued development and deployment of its products.
