Colorado tech companies made several new announcements last week, including hiring plans and funding announcements. Catch up on Atomos Space’s $16.2 million raise or learn about the latest mobile app hiring new talent in Colorado. This is the Built In Colorado Weekly Refresh.

These five Colorado tech companies raised the largest funding rounds last month. In January, five Colorado tech companies raised a combined $179.2 million. Outrider topped the funding charts with its $73 million Series C raise. Scythe Robotics got $42 million, Strata Identity raised a $26 million Series B round, Meati Foods got an additional $22 million and Atomos Space pulled in $16.2 million. Mobile app Nigh gained popularity among University of Colorado students. Nigh is a Boulder-based company where local shops and restaurants can post limited quantity discounts and tickets to events to lure in customers. According to Colorado Inno, the platform is growing in popularity among Colorado businesses and college students. As for Nigh, the platform is also growing. Atomos Space got $16.2M. Atomos is a Denver-based aerospace company that develops space vehicles with towing and docking capabilities. Last week, the company raised $16.2 million in a Series A round. Atom Computing was selected to advance quantum computing. Atom Computing received funding from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to research new quantum computing technologies and determine if underexplored approaches to quantum computing can reach utility-scale operations sooner than predicted.
