Arrow Electronics purchases software firm eInfochips for $281M
Talk about a pricey New Year’s present! On Tuesday, Centennial-based electronics manufacturer Arrow Electronics Inc. announced that it had purchased software R&D firm eInfochips. At the time of closing, the deal was valued at more than $281 million. eInfochips presently has headquarters in both San Jose, California and Ahmedabad, India. “We are excited to join forces with Arrow to further add value to our clients across the world,” said eInfochips CEO Pratul Shroff. PeakMed and CirrusMD unveil platform for digital doctor visits
Insurance alternative PeakMed and health-tech developer CirrusMD have announced partnership on a new text and video platform that allows patients to interact with medical professionals without having to leave home. “By meeting patients where they are, with a familiar text messaging experience, [we] will be able to treat patients virtually and guide them to the most appropriate point-of-care for their situation, saving both time and money,” said CirrusMD CEO Andrew Altorfer. Documents reveal FullContact purchased Mattermark for less than $1M
According to reports obtained by TechCrunch, contact management firm FullContact purchased the remains of now-defunct startup data platform Mattermark for less than $1 million — a surprising figure considering that Mattermark fundraised more than $17 million since its establishment in 2012. Silicon Valley-based Marketo plans to add 300 Denver employees
Though marketing firm Marketo hosts its primary headquarters in Northern California, its Denver outpost is expanding rapidly; adding 200 employees in nine months and setting its sights on 500 by the end of 2019. Such growth would transform the 50,000-square-foot Downtown Denver office into less of an outpost, and more of an HQ2. Marketo CEO Steve Lucas is particularly enthused about the expansion, as he graduated from the University of Colorado and will be returning to the state, along with the company’s CFO and CMO. Alfonso Rosabal named CEO of technology academy Galvanize
Despite being without a CEO since July 2017, Denver-based technology school Galvanize is starting 2018 with new leadership. On Wednesday it was announced that Alfonso Rosabal would be joining Galvanize as CEO, as well as joining the company’s Board of Directors. Previously, Rosabal served as COO for National CineMedia, another Denver company. “I am extremely excited to be joining Galvanize to help lead the company through its next phase of growth,” Rosabal said in a statement.
