Summer in Colorado, for many, is synonymous with adventure. Whether you’re climbing mountains, rafting down rivers, hiking the backcountry or kicking back at a local brewery, there is no shortage of fun and exciting things to do throughout the state — and beyond.

Some Colorado companies are using their tech savvy to take your summer to the next level. Here’s how they’re doing it.

Whether you’re looking for an epic hike or a local beer festival, RageLife’s mobile app can guide you in the right direction. The app combines a community of fellow adventure lovers with a database of activities and events based on your location. Users can discover activities and other users in their vicinity, so they can ask for advice or even meet up in person to enjoy an activity together.

Summer is a time when many people take off on a trip they’ve been dreaming about all year, but planning the details of that trip can be a nightmare. Trip30’s trip planning application helps users organize their plans by the hour and day, and then visualize the entire trip on a map. Users can collaborate on itineraries, share them with friends and access them directly from their phones while on the go.

Talk to any outdoor enthusiast and they’ll tell you gear isn’t cheap. Gearoe’s mobile app allows you to buy, sell or rent used outdoor equipment, making it easier to enjoy all the activities Colorado has to offer. You can find everything from tents and hiking poles to climbing harnesses and bikes. The interface is organized by activity and features product images; daily, weekly or monthly pricing; and detailed information about the gear. Whether you’re looking to do a weekend backpacking trip in the mountains or want to take a kayak down the river for an afternoon, Gearoe can help you get (or get rid of) the gear.

There’s nothing like a delicious Colorado craft beer on a hot summer day, but to enjoy the beer at many of Colorado’s smaller breweries you have to go straight to the source. Recently launched Denver startup Craft Alley seeks to change that by helping Coloradans enjoy fresh craft beers wherever they want. Through their website, you can choose from a rotating selection of local crowlers (yep, that’s a canned growler) and Craft Alley will have it poured and delivered to your doorstep on the same day.

Whether you’re traveling abroad or simply visiting a neighboring state or city, having a friend who lives in and knows the area can completely change your experience. But for those who may not know anyone where they’re going, Zipskee offers a mobile app that connects travelers with locals around the world. Now anyone can get that true local experience, or share the culture and city they love with visitors.
