And they’re off! In case you missed it — or opted to take a conventional mode of transportation to work — it is Tube to Work Day in Boulder. It is, without a doubt, the coolest and most absurd alternative transportation day in the United States.
Just so we’re clear about how good life is in Colorado, it’s worth thinking for a minute about how millions of less-lucky Americans got to work today. They woke up early, put on a suit, and either walked to a crowded subway or sat in traffic on the freeway. Then, switch over to Boulder, where a bunch of people ironically donned suits to ride the Boulder Creek to work. You know life's good when you're tubing to work.
