Design scalable, low-latency distributed backend services; optimize performance; drive reliability, observability, and cloud-native adoption; establish engineering standards; collaborate across Product, Infrastructure, SRE, and Data Engineering; and mentor engineers. The role requires operating production systems processing billions of auctions and potentially millions of requests per second, with occasional nights and weekends as needed.

Build and scale low-latency ad-serving software handling billions of daily auctions. Responsibilities include developing data- and model-driven features, optimizing algorithms and architectures, reducing cloud costs, extending observability, supporting distributed infrastructure, participating in on-call rotations, and documenting systems and incident procedures.
