Own the design direction for Toast’s Marketing Tools, creating coherent experiences across campaigns, customer outreach, and performance measurement. Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers to redesign mature products, conduct research, use data to guide decisions, and prepare tools for AI-assisted workflows. The role requires end-to-end product design ownership, systems thinking, prototyping, and collaboration across marketing, CRM, website, ordering, and agentic product teams.

Define and redesign Toast’s restaurant onboarding and product adoption experiences across setup, configuration, feature discovery, AI guidance, and human support. Establish reusable onboarding patterns across product and engineering teams, create prototypes and specifications in Figma, conduct research and usability testing, and influence cross-functional leaders. The role requires systems thinking, strong visual and interaction design, product judgment, and principal-level organizational influence.
