What you will do 

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will leverage your in-depth understanding of Vangst’s services and articulate our value proposition to all clients throughout the recruiting process, and see all open roles all the way through to close.  

You will partner with Business Development Managers to understand the client needs, conduct position in-take calls and strategize with the fulfillment team. You will locate, qualify, and pursue clients through a volume of calls, emails, networking and in-person meetings. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, submitting qualified candidates and closely monitoring the status of the position and candidates at every stage of the recruitment life cycle. You will mentor a team of recruiters and work to train them on Vangst’s recruiting best practices, as well as hold them accountable for hitting their revenue goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Manage clients throughout the recruiting process by submitting qualified candidates for open positions, monitoring candidate progress and placing candidates with clients in a timely manner. 

  • Serve as the single point of contact for every aspect of the recruiting process to including; setting expectations, submissions, interview coordination, feedback follow-up. 

  • Create new opportunities with all existing clients by pitching Vangst services and providing an excellent, catered, client experience that ensures we are adapting to the Client’s requirements. 

  • Create new opportunities with new clients by pitching Vangst services and providing an excellent client experience.

  • Create new opportunities with inbound leads by pitching Vangst services and providing an excellent client experience.

  • Consult with the client to build custom job descriptions based on position intake calls and communicate the opportunity to your recruiters so they can source candidates. 

  • Work closely with clients to fully understand job requirements, understand the business culture and

  • develop a customized strategy for identifying, attracting, and retaining talent.

  • Coach & manage recruiters on Vangst’s interview best practices and industry expertise. 

  • Review all recruiter candidate submittals, revise as needed and send in a professional manner to client. 

  • Produce weekly reports to management on the progress of client activity, candidates, job orders and team performance. 

  • Work effectively throughout all stages of the candidate and client interview process to ensure that both parties have a successful Vangst experience. 

What you’ll need to be successful in this role  

  • Proven success hitting monthly, quarterly and annual sales and recruiting goals. 

  • Previous success leading & managing high-performing teams of recruiters and senior recruiters. 

  • Ability to manage strategic relationships with clients and effectively manage multiple client relationships at the same time. 

  • Ability to work with recruiters to identify top talent and understand what each candidate brings to the table in order to place them with the best opportunity or client available.

  • Executive presence; ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and work with teams in multiple time-zones and offices. 

  • Ability to prioritize and to collaborate with other team members to build strategy, maximize pipeline productivity, and effectively fill all open roles.
