The Director of Microsoft GTM plays a significant role in growing Microsoft MDF, TSI and GTM programs by managing the Microsoft GTM team, Microsoft relationship, Microsoft GTM strategies, Microsoft partner enablement and events reporting, and by promoting partner enablement across Pax8 by effectively aligning GTM plays and product marketing efforts. They develop and execute strategic plans to achieve GTM strategic plan targets in collaboration with other functions within the business. The Director drives key executive briefings, innovate, and drive new investable models for Microsoft MDF and manage the overall success of the Microsoft GTM Team. They serve as an external and an internal “customer”. The Director builds strategy to mobilize partners to consume Microsoft resources and participate in Microsoft programs related to building demand gen, partner enablement/skilling, generating awareness, and standing out in a crowded market by providing GTM resources, partner enablement and marketing support.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Act as Microsoft liaison to support proposed marketing goals including the proper use of Microsoft partner marketing materials and incentive funding on the right set of activities
  • Provide career coaching and development with direct reports
  • Manage the innovation, creation and collaboration with company provided resources to drive partner enablement and recruit partners and maintaining a tight alignment with Microsoft Programs, Academy, Finance, Marketing, and peers
  • Provide reporting on partner activities and progress to Microsoft on MDF & investments, marketing, channel events, lead gen, and Pax8 Academy enablement programs
  • Act as “business advisor” and evangelize areas of next logical practice that are appropriate for the partner’s needs and business model with a Microsoft GTM and partner enablement focus
  • Ensure partners are equipped with the right tools and resources to scale in their GTM strategy and enable to compete effectively against every competitive scenario they encounter
  • Deliver weekly/monthly updates for Microsoft GTM program to the Sr. Director of Microsoft and SVP of Business Development
  • Ongoing development of and reporting on OKR’s
  • Drive the Microsoft GTM team’s educational and certification initiatives alongside with Pax8 Academy
  • Participate in all Microsoft MBR’s, QBR’s, and GTM calls
  • Build scalable GTM business plan utilizing Microsoft templates and guidance


Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least eight (8) years’ experience working in Sales and/or Business Development
  • Both Technical and Business background preferred
  • Proven success in selling through the indirect channel or Microsoft direct; passion for empowering partners to serve their customers
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn and create sales strategies
  • Experience managing others, track record of influencing peers, and can maintain poise under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective business reviews
  • Ability to engage cross-functionally to request resources and coordinate events
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: writing, editing and presenting in front of groups
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Background in Microsoft cloud solutions and hardware
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training, executive presentations and innovations in 1:1 and 1:many settings
  • Ability to design and deliver presentations in live and virtual environments; hybrid experience
  • Proven success in creating scalable business plans to drive the business, analyze results and make appropriate modifications to continually improve execution
  • Ability to engage cross-functionally to request resources, collaborated and coordinate multiple projects
  • Highly Organized and Project Management skills
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times


Required Education & Certifications:

B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience


Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $140,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
