One of the biggest causes of stress for farmers comes from not knowing their financial position, not feeling in control, and not feeling supported. Figured provides peace of mind by providing them with clarity and control, and by connecting them to their financial advisors.

Figured is a SaaS platform that works with their cloud accounting software, to enable Farmers, Accountants, Bankers and their advisors to work together on a single set of financial data, bringing together production information with financial data to create a clear picture of the farms financial position, variance to budget and forecast position.

Eight years on, Figured is now helping Accountants and Banks manage the financial performance of their farming clients across New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland and in the early market development stage across North America. The role will have you working with a growing local and wider global team.

The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and developing early-stage opportunities as well as nurturing existing opportunities with Figured accounting partners in the North American market.

On a day to day basis
  • Market segmentation and development - develop and maintain a sales plan across the North American territory, mapping the market and identifying target clients and partners
  • Know your customer’s business and the competitive landscape at a deep level
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market we operate in, bringing insights to existing and prospective customers (following the challenger sales framework)
  • Actively manage deals in your pipeline and maintain sales momentum through the customers buying process
  • Work closely with the wider sales team to reach overall company sales targets
  • Develop a close working relationship with key partnerships such as Xero and work strategically with your region's sales representatives
  • Work closely with marketing to drive campaigns and new business acquisition
  • Work closely with the Customer Experience team as part of the new customer enablement process
  • Work with the Product team to represent the voice of the market, bringing insight from the field into the product process from all customer channels
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to existing and potential accounting practices and key partners, both individually and at events
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Have a minimum of 5 years B2B tech sales experience in Enterprise solution sales
  • Be the boss at qualifying sales opportunities and generating a strong sales pipeline
  • Be super driven, and a self-starter with a proven track record of nailing your sales targets and being a top performer
  • Be an authentic and compelling communicator, comfortable presenting in front of an audience of (typically) senior stakeholders
  • Be able to demonstrate success developing your customers business that goes beyond just ‘making the sale’
  • Have the resilience and patience required to build relationships and lead the customers through their own buying journey
  • Experience with Challenger Sales methodology would be ideal
  • Be able to work autonomously and travel frequently (when it's safe to do so)
