We're looking for a data-driven leader to craft sales development strategies and manage a high-performing team. What you will do:

  • Lead and manage a dynamic team of inbound SDRs and outbound BDRs, overseeing all aspects from recruitment to day-to-day operations, focusing on coaching, process enhancement, and performance evaluation
  • Develop and execute a robust strategy for handling inbound inquiries, pre- and post-event follow-ups, and other lead sources, ensuring effective lead management and conversion
  • Utilize rigorous metrics and forecast management techniques to drive team execution, consistently striving for improvement and achievement of monthly and quarterly targets
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales leaders to capitalize on successes, address gaps, and refine strategies for sustained growth
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance team processes, metrics, and tools to ensure operational excellence and adaptability to evolving market dynamics
  • Optimize sequences, messaging, emails, and call scripts in collaboration with product marketing, leveraging analytics, A/B testing, personalization, and innovative tactics to boost response rates
  • Foster the professional development of team members, imparting effective sales techniques, instilling accountability and discipline, and preparing them for advancement within the sales, marketing, or other organizational functions
  • Lead the implementation of an Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategy, beginning with the BDR team and extending to the broader sales organization, leveraging proven best practices
  • Collaborate with marketing operations to maximize the utilization of our tech stack, including Salesforce.com, Pardot, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and other relevant tools
  • Work closely with marketing counterparts to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for driving new business, customer expansion, and lead gen campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives


What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of experience as a manager or team lead for high-performing sales or business development teams
  • Strong understanding of sales development best practices (cadence management, cold-calling, objection handling, etc.) and the pipeline building process
  • Demonstrated success with Salesforce.com, Pardot, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and similar tech platforms
  • Highly analytical and curious, always diving into data and reporting to make well-informed decisions


The annual salary range is $90,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. This role is eligible for a bonus based on performance. In addition to your salary, MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
