The VP of Pax8 University is directly responsible for creating a learning ecosystem that enables Pax8 employees to execute their roles at the highest levels and to elevate partner performance to expand their reach with Pax8’s portfolio of products. The position requires the development, execution and management of comprehensive training and certification programs that establishes Pax8 as best in class in on-boarding and on-going support of its partner community. This position reports to the Chief People Officer.

Strategies for Success:

  • Create a university system that serves Pax8’s partner community and all of Pax8’s employees to educate in the areas of onboarding, product releases and updates, tools and processes, sales skills, soft skills, leadership skills and the competencies associated with the various roles throughout the organization
  • Design a Partner Profile methodology as a basis to establish relevant learning paths and certifications to grow partner contributions and engagement.
  • Create alignment of skills and competencies cross-functionally to ensure maximum efficiency across the Pax8 organization.
  • Work closely with leaders to create programs that support the successful execution of the organization’s key business objectives
  • Educate employees through defined learning paths and customized professional development plans to drive employee engagement, professional development and longevity

Responsibilities:

  • Elevate sales and business acumen, and expedite product sales, through the development of sales playbooks, flight manuals and other learning tools for sales teams and partners
  • Establish a learning platform that allows for the delivery of relevant, consumable and accessible content.
  • Lead and develop a team of learning and development professionals that positively impact performance of both Pax8 employees and partners
  • Work closely with sales leaders, sales enablement, sales effectiveness, marketing and marketing operations teams to design, implement and drive option of sales tools that improve productivity
  • Design and deliver a strategic mix of instructor-led and self-directed training for partners and Pax8 employees, including testing mechanisms to validate knowledge transfer. 
  • Evaluate effectiveness of programs through leading and lagging indicators and make necessary adjustments for continual improvement.
  • Work with leaders across the organization to collect feedback for the creation of new programs that supports the execution of their key initiatives
  • Work closely with the Director of HR to design and deliver management and leadership training

Required Skills and Experiences

  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and assess needs (individual and organization) and develop action plans for success.
  • Demonstrated relationship management and project management skills.
  • Ability to gain credibility and influence others
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting sales organizations to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and executing vision and strategy to build and continually evolve a business unit
  • Ability to execute planned outcomes with associated measurable benefits
  • Experience coaching and mentoring employees and leaders
  • Expert facilitator; advanced teaching/presentation skills
  • High degree of competency with adult learning concepts, practices, and procedures including the design of instructor led & self-paced training
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in software or technology-based product sales; indirect channel sales experience preferred
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in a combination of learning and development, people leadership, sales, sales enablement, sales operations and/or organizational development
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
