Quality Control Specialist

The Quality team ensures that OnDeck products and services are meeting established quality standards through testing and enforcement of end-to-end operational business processes with a focus on regulatory compliance, operational risk, and customer service.
The OnDeck Sales Partnership team is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with brokers, referral and strategic partners to provide small business owners with the best lending options for their business. You will become an integral partner in quality management by working closely with the OnDeck leaders, account managers and sales agents in this dynamic group.
As a Quality Control Specialist – Sales Partner Channel at OnDeck, you will:
- Build, manage and execute the phone call and email survey for new and existing customers.
- Work closely with Sales leadership to document and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Use project planning best practices for remediation of findings, close gaps in control by continually improving processes.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Partnerships teams to design and maintain Partner training program
- Track customer complaints, analyze root cause and make recommendations to address.
- Present analytics, summary and recommendations to department managers and implement strategies for remediation and enhancement.
- Build a network of partners throughout the business.
- Build “train the trainer” programs for team leads, managers, and high performers.
- Design and develop eLearning modules and paths for new hires, functional training, and compliance training with the collaboration of the Learning team.
Necessary qualifications for success:
- At least one year in a testing/audit function, or equivalent experience in another relevant position such as sales leadership, operations or other.
- Strong commitment to partnership, building relationships and providing support to our internal stakeholders
- Previous experience performing quality reviews and/or testing for Operations and/or Sales functions
- Self-motivated and driven to work hard in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational/time management skills
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbally, as well as cross functionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong analytical skills and data manipulation experience
- Strong focus on operational controls
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and stay focused in a dynamic fast paced environment
- Persistent, resilient, organized and detail oriented
- Experience developing eLearning courses.
- Ability to effectively facilitate workshops, panels, and formal training session.
- Strong networking skills.
Nice-to-haves (not required):
- Experience with CRM/Salesforce is a plus
- Experience with SQL and Tableau is a plus
- Preferred industries: finance, education, technology
