The ideal candidate:

You’re a social-media-obsessed real estate investor who gets our community at its core and can’t wait to create content, engage with, and help our members directly on the BP platform become financially free by investing in real estate.

This role will travel to attend meetups across the United States, attend our annual BPCon to meet-and-greet our members face-to-face, spend multiple hours a week answering or posing questions in our forums, meet regularly with talent and members alike to gain feedback on products and services, fire off 50 Facebook group replies before your morning coffee, manage the moderation team and ensure rules are clear and enforced on- and off-platforms, and easily create or ideate viral and engaging TikToks or IG Reels because you spend a lot of your free time of social media already. We are looking for someone with current real estate experience in growing a small- to mid-size portfolio so that our users know you understand the unique challenges that accompany real estate investing. You are willing and eager to document and share your own real estate investing journey with the BiggerPockets audience.

Ultimately, engaging our members through our various platforms is a core value to you! Then, you come back to our team to share your insights from the field, help inform the product team of new tools to research, help the moderators make our forums a world-class conversation platform for real estate investors, share what you learned with the marketing team to envision the next best pro value feature, and more.

The core functions of the role include:

1. Serve as the community ambassador and voice of our members through full immersion in our community engagement platforms on-site, off-site, and in-person. Get to know each of our moderators, our top contributors, and constantly spot new, positive people who can make a difference in our community.
2. Moderator management: You place the 101 of moderator operations on our platform and our social media channels. Then, that operation is regularly upgraded to allow for improved moderation given new technologies or platforms.
3. Easily create or ideate engaging and authentic content for BP regularly, whether it’s creating the next viral TikTok, hosting an Instagram takeover, YouTube video, podcast guest or co-host appearance, posting 100 times a day in the forums, or writing a thoughtful blog article to strengthen our reputation as the #1 trusted source of real estate investing information.
4. Collaborate with key cross-functional teams across the company to share your knowledge and experience to create a better platform experience for our customers.
5. Reporting to Publishing General Manager and providing weekly status updates and ad hoc insights regarding forums performance, moderation issues, engagement opportunities, operating expenses, customer findings, social media content engagement, community engagement, and more.

Your success will be measured by:

• Number of power users on the forums and increased post/reply count
• Engaged users on our Facebook Groups and increased post/reply count
• Engagement on the forums by first-time posters in the community
• Engaged users on our Facebook Groups and increased post/reply count
• Increased social media followers, likes, comments, and engagement with the content you create
• Ability to integrate your findings from our userbase effectively with our product / tech
• teams
• Marked increase in quality, engagement, and creative across content channels

• Trackably reducing spammers on social media
• Trackably reducing or strategizing around self-promotion on the forums

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will hit 70% or more of the job description, but more so the right candidate will have the ability to manage the community effectively, envision the big picture with stakeholders across teams, make bold and decisive decisions when it comes to creating content, and have a never-ending funnel of ideas and stories to share.

LOCATION: Denver Preferred but Remote considered - US based

SALARY: The salary range for this job position is $60,000 - 70,000 based on experience, plus a 10% bonus potential.

TRAVEL: Moderate travel is required for this position
