Bonterra is seeking a Workday Senior Business Analyst to join the team! This individual will be responsible for various initiatives as it relates to Workday implementations and support including initiating, and leading the development, implementation, maintenance, process improvement, and administration associated with Bonterra's HR technology.
Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Workday Core HCM & Payroll, security administration, business process design, experience, reporting, and analytics
  • Support Workday end users by troubleshooting problems, answering questions, creating and/or modifying reports, and assisting in the creation of documentation as needed
  • Ensures the integrity, accuracy, and proper use of information in the system
  • Responsible for system integration, security administration, and business process design & configuration
  • Acts as liaison with the HR, Payroll, and IT teams to provide support for technology and reporting


  • Drive functionality of HCM system: facilitate discussions to understand business and information needs of HR, Payroll, IT, and management, and make recommendations about how the system can best meet those needs
  • Excellent change management skills to implement business processes, systems and technology to improve service delivery and streamline processes


  • Tracking implementation progress and reporting back to management
  • Leading change management work streams related to HRIS initiatives with a structured methodology and process


  • Communication skills:


  • Consulting with members of the People Team and the business in identifying and managing potential risks for new initiatives


  • Facilitates change management and system adoption, assisting with end-user documentation and/or training as needed
  • Develops, maintains, and produces management and statistical reports
  • Develop synergies between HCM system and other business systems
  • Protect and maintain security and confidentiality of information and systems


  • Analyze and recommend enhancements to business processes and other aspects of system configuration to streamline HR and payroll operations and optimize efficiency while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
  • Coordinating with functional and technical staff, lead system-related projects and initiatives (such as new releases/updates, adoption and implementation of new functionality, and business process configuration changes) in HR, including planning, implementation, review and testing prior to go-live
  • Assist in the development of training plans to help end-users carry out role-based and user-based responsibilities in the system, including developing training materials, user procedures, guidelines, and documentation, and participates in coordinated training events
  • Create, update, and maintain documentation for new processes and enhancements made to existing processes, roles, and tools
  • Track record of strong business partnership and cross functional collaboration within a dynamic, fast paced environment


  • Ability to effectively conduct virtual presentations and training sessions
  • Maintains personnel and data confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to communicate effectively and utilize interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively perform multiple tasks and constantly changing priorities


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Information Systems, or other related discipline; or equivalent combined education and experience
  • 5+ years' experience with Workday including Core HCM and Payroll
  • 7+ years of experience implementing, supporting, and optimizing HRIS
  • Knowledge in integrating 3rd party applications with HRIS


  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience leading, motivating, managing, and influencing others
  • Experience with other HRIS systems
  • Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management


  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding how business and system processes impact each other
  • Presentation skills necessary to deliver informational sessions and business cases to groups and/or individuals
  • Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities related to large number of projects and initiatives, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions
  • Ability to develop and inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team


  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures related to HR technologies
  • Ability to influence vendors and cross- entity partners, translating technical or strategic ideas into information the audience can understand
