What You’ll Do

  • New role to support our team members through their full life-cycle with Apostrophe, from first interaction through to promotion
  • Drive employee experience initiatives from recruiting, onboarding and talent management to ensure our team members are properly supported through our flexible work environment program regardless of where they are located
  • Act as a versatile, “full stack” generalist and hands-on operator who will be responsible for executing the details of people operations activities (i.e. payroll, running open enrollment, updating policies, compensation tracking, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements, etc.)
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
  • Solicit feedback and utilize data to identify, surface, and act on opportunities to enhance the effectiveness, culture, and morale of teams while balancing individual, team, and company interests
  • Support the strategic and pragmatic creation, communication, and rollout of people programs and policies ensuring programs and processes are equitable, effective, and scalable
  • Broker job posting and recruiting support where necessary
  • Work with team members to resolve general HR and benefits questions
  • Be the go-to person for all administrative and facilities needs of our Denver headquarters

Preferred Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR/People Ops for VC-backed high growth companies, a (S)PHR or SHRM-(S)CP a plus
  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws (i.e. FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, etc.)
  • Proven knowledge in payroll and benefits administration
  • Experience in navigating diverse HR initiatives such as employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, leadership, learning and development programs and the interest in designing tailored programs and processes and taking a hands on role in their implementation and improvement
  • Experience partnering with leaders and managers on people and organizational strategy and creating upward momentum within the organization, fostering an environment of growth and development
  • Utilize people-related data to aid in strategic decision making; develop key metrics to measure employee engagement, performance and retention
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance issues, including federal, state, and municipal employment laws
  • Proven project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once
