About the Role


The Rocket Lawyer Account Development Representative - API Sales will be responsible for building a solid pipeline of Strategic & Enterprise Accounts that meet defined ICP and target account criteria. The successful candidate will conduct business dealings with prospects in a way that creates a superior customer/prospect experience to set the stage for future product sales for Rocket Lawyer. 


The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial spirit, an eagerness to learn, a strong curiosity, and must be comfortable with ambiguity. A background in FinTech, SaaS, B2B/B2B2C software, or SMB software is preferred. You are someone who thrives on identifying leads through outbound prospecting. You are a motivated and results-driven sales professional who is eager to excel. 

A Day in the Life

  • Work with the Account Executive & cross functional teams to create strategic targets to identify & generate new & expansion business opportunities
  • Meet or exceed strategic goals & committed targets by engaging with qualified leads & enabling the next step in the sales cycle
  • With consultative engagement you will qualify opportunities by understanding business challenges while also educating them on the value of our product
  • Complete detailed research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts & critical account information
  • Identify & target strategic new prospects that would accelerate revenue growth
  • Select & engage with prospects that are identified through a variety of self-led outbound efforts 
  • Become an expert in sales prospecting platforms & tools
  • Use identified customer challenges to prescribe relevant campaigns & events to drive engagement
  • Develop superior customer service relationships with prospects
  • Self audit activity to ensure accuracy & to enable improvement
  • Proactively learn Rocket Lawyer’s product, competitive products, & market knowledge via website, online webinars, and other resources 
  • Update lead status and all prospect interaction in CRM application daily

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years proven experience in sales, particularly in selling APIs or related technology services preferred
  • Experience with lead qualification at all levels within organizations – developers, managers, directors, VPs, executives is a plus
  • Experience cold calling, emailing and account prospecting
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Proficient with standard productivity and sales tools
