Financial + Retirement

401(K)

We offer both a traditional and Roth 401(k), as well as an employer contribution of 3% of your salary, which vests immediately. Guideline is our 401(k) provider.

Health Insurance + Wellness

Dental insurance

Beam is our dental provider. They cover 100% of diagnostic and preventive items, such as exams, cleanings, and x-rays. Tortuga pays 85% of employee premiums / 75% of family premiums.

Disability insurance

We offer company-paid short-term disability insurance that covers up to 60% of an employee's annual salary, up to a maximum of $2,500 per week, for up to 11 weeks.

Health insurance

We offer 3 medical plans to choose from through United Healthcare, including an HSA. Credits and prizes can be won through Motion and Rally. Tortuga pays 85% of employee / 75% of family premiums.

Vision insurance

Beam is also our vision provider, through VSP, which covers an annual exam and provides allowances toward lenses, frames, and contacts. Tortuga pays 85% of employee premiums / 75% of family premiums.

As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer at Tortuga, you’ll be core to the development of our robotic harvesting software with a specialty in working with low level hardware interfaces. You'll be involved in advising hardware and system level design, integrating communications from hardware to software interfaces, creating automated tests, and providing technical leadership on a small team. Required qualifications include 7+ years of professional experience in development of embedded systems, strong proficiency in C++, C, and Python programming, and experience with industrial bus protocols and prototype development. The base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 per year.
