Plans and executes major festivals, awards, meetups, dinners, virtual events, mentorship programs, and other experiences. Manages event logistics, vendors, sponsors, venues, budgets, timelines, communications, digital assets, registration systems, and internal coordination. Proposes new event concepts and improvements while supporting cross-functional research and projects. Requires strong organization, executive communication, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and familiarity with event technology, design tools, and project-management systems.

Leads philanthropic fundraising and corporate sponsorship strategy, donor and sponsor relationship development, revenue forecasting, major gift and sponsorship solicitations, and board engagement. Owns pipeline growth, renewals, multi-year commitments, event sponsorship packages, and progress toward a $1.5M+ annual revenue goal while representing the organization externally.

The Director of Business Development will generate, close, renew, and expand sponsorship sales for TechUnited:NJ programs and events, targeting corporations, brands, universities, investors, startups, and service providers. Responsibilities include building outbound pipelines, attending events, managing sponsorship prospects, achieving a $1 million annual quota, developing proposals, tracking activity in HubSpot, collaborating with leadership and marketing, and supporting event content and execution.
