We are looking for a Principal Data Scientist to join the Data Science team. The Principal Data Scientist role is responsible for modeling and deploying at scale ML solutions, discovering insights, and identifying and effectively communicating opportunities based on technical expertise and business strategy. You should be comfortable in multiple languages such as Scala and Python, and should be able to quickly understand and suggest ideas for model deployment that can be supported across the organization. As Principal Data Scientist you should understand the technical aspects of our products, connect technical work to business strategy, and have the skills to implement, communicate, and influence others. The Principal Data Scientist will work closely with management, other data scientists, analysts, principal engineers, and product management. Contributing to problem and solution discovery efforts by conducting customer interviews and research, and developing and running experiments to validate concepts. Writing cards that articulate work to be done by Engineering in support of solutions and production support. Driving Agile ceremonies, including planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives. Maintaining a prioritized backlog that aligns with available Engineering capacity and maps to an overall solution roadmap. Working closely with Engineering to ensure solutions are ultimately delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner. Performing validation testing of production releases, bug fixes, and feature requests. Interfacing with Sales, Service, and Marketing in order to understand and validate customer ideas and requirements, and provide regular roadmap updates. Supporting Knowledge Service and Product Marketing in the development of feature descriptions and new release content. Representing and articulating the overall solution roadmap to customers and prospects. Conducting solution demos to customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
