Manages transportation safety programs, regulatory compliance, training, audits, incident investigations, and safety technology across transit divisions. Oversees OSHA, EPA, CDL, DriveCam, and corporate safety requirements; analyzes incident trends; maintains training materials; ensures operator qualifications and instruction; and promotes a consistent safety culture across operations, maintenance, and safety teams.

Manages driver recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training programs for transit bus operators. Provides classroom, skills-course, and behind-the-wheel instruction covering defensive driving, passenger assistance, route planning, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance. Maintains personnel and training records, schedules cadet training, administers background and drug checks, and supports operator and road supervisor duties as needed.

Manage daily operations for a fixed-route public transit contract, including on-time performance, driver availability, call center functions, customer relations, staffing, training, safety compliance, client communication, audits, operational metrics, and labor relations. Requires at least three years managing comparable public transit operations, plus scheduling and personnel management experience. Trapeze experience is preferred.

Manages payroll, accounting operations, benefits administration, accounts payable, reconciliations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, purchase order reviews, compliance, audits, and payroll staff. Provides financial support to local management, coordinates with corporate teams, vendors, and HR, investigates discrepancies, prepares reports, and ensures adherence to legal and union requirements.

Manages human resources operations for a transit workforce, including recruiting, hiring, retention, payroll and personnel records, compensation and benefits, employee relations, compliance, training documentation, performance reviews, staffing plans, and union liaison activities. Serves as the local EEO and affirmative action officer while partnering with management to improve employee satisfaction, maintain compliance, and meet operational staffing and performance goals.
