Leads and mentors an engineering team building scalable web applications for fintech and media products. Responsibilities include setting technical architecture, guiding engineering decisions, partnering with product and design stakeholders, maintaining modern web applications, improving reliability and performance, supporting delivery planning, and adopting AI-assisted development and automation. The role combines hands-on software engineering, people management, technical strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Lead and execute the Always On revenue program to drive upsell and cross-sell across members. Build and run experiments, optimize site ads, automated campaigns, and personalized offers using analytics, AI, and automation. Partner with Product, Email, Analytics, and Engineering to launch revenue initiatives, scale workflows, and translate data into actionable growth recommendations.

Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable web applications using React/Next.js and TypeScript. Collaborate across design, product, and engineering, provide technical feedback, use GraphQL/REST, manage complex client state, and support backend Python and AWS infrastructure. Emphasize scalability, performance, security, and CI/CD containerized deployments while adopting AI-driven automation and agentic workflows.

Serve as engineering lead for Fool.com and Motley Fool Money: set technical direction, write and review code, mentor engineers, own production reliability (incident response, observability), integrate AI/LLM features, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to align technical strategy with business goals.
