Kola Awe, a senior software engineer and team lead for Moov’s ledger team, described the autonomy and ownership granted to engineering teams at Moov as being beneficial to the technologists’ work. Additionally, Awe said that open and collaborative communication practices are central to success, like org-wide Slack channels, Google Drive and Notion document visibility and fluid access to repositories for engineers. “This means information, good or bad, isn’t siloed and everyone can see the impact of their work and contributions to the overall growth of the company,” Awe said.
