Senior Instrumentation and Electrical Designer responsible for preparing accurate I&E drawings, coordinating multidisciplinary 3D CAD work, conducting field investigations, resolving design issues, and supporting engineering deliverables. Provides senior electrical engineering support for energy-sector projects, coordinating internal and subcontractor design resources, reviewing drawings and specifications, conducting site walks and design reviews, evaluating equipment and suppliers, and developing testing, inspection, preservation, and commissioning plans. Performs power system studies using SKM or ETAP, verifies construction quality and code compliance, supports cost estimating, and mentors teams while maintaining safety and technical standards.

Performs piping flexibility and stress analysis, pipe support design, finite element analysis, and static equipment design for oil, gas, and LNG projects. Prepares calculations, drawings, specifications, bid evaluations, and technical documentation. Reviews supplier data, coordinates with multidisciplinary project teams, directs designers and drafters, and provides field verification and mechanical execution support.

Manage chemical, petrochemical, and downstream EPC and CAPEX turnaround projects ranging from $1M to $100M. Responsibilities include overseeing scope, cost, schedule, procurement, contracts, proposals, change orders, project teams, client communications, reporting, critical-path forecasting, budget control, and construction or design processes. The role requires extensive Gulf Coast oil and gas experience, field experience, engineering knowledge, and strong project execution skills.

Coordinates multidisciplinary engineering project execution, deliverables, schedules, interfaces, staffing, documentation, reporting, change management, and vendor activities. Ensures compliance with project procedures, client standards, quality processes, industry codes, and regulatory requirements. Communicates with clients and internal teams, resolves scope and interface issues, supports field activities, develops RFQ packages, and assists with project execution plans. The role requires refining or petrochemical experience, brownfield and FEED exposure, and support for Gulf Coast projects.

Leads instrumentation and controls engineering for large, multidisciplinary energy projects, including design reviews, specifications, control logic, alarm management, DCS/SIS integration, and vendor coordination. Supports FAT, PSAT, PSSR, commissioning, startup, and technical documentation. Requires extensive experience in refining, petrochemical, and related energy facilities, strong knowledge of instrumentation measurements and process control systems, and the ability to lead projects exceeding $150 million in total installed cost.

Leads Kent’s Process Safety Engineering team, serving as a technical subject matter expert across onshore and offshore oil and gas projects. Responsibilities include managing engineers, overseeing quality and regulatory compliance, guiding risk assessments and consequence analyses, developing proposals and budgets, supporting business development, mentoring staff, recruiting, and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering work. The role requires client engagement, commercial awareness, professional engineering licensure, and expertise in process safety methodologies, industry standards, and specialized software.
