Design and optimize active and passive photonic components and detector-integrated circuits for cryogenic platforms. Responsibilities include electromagnetic simulation, photonic layout, DRC verification, foundry tapeouts, PDK and component-library development, and collaboration with test, packaging, and systems teams to validate cryogenic performance.

Develops cryogenic photonic and superconducting device fabrication processes from design through prototype production. Responsibilities include cleanroom fabrication, lithography, thin-film deposition, etching, planarization, metrology, yield analysis, root-cause investigation, SOP and process documentation, PDK maintenance, and collaboration with design, test, packaging, and integration teams.

Develops automated optical, electrical, and optoelectronic test infrastructure for integrated photonic devices. Responsibilities include designing measurement setups, characterizing passive and active photonic components, automating fiber coupling and alignment, processing test data, documenting methods, and collaborating with hardware teams. The role requires Python proficiency, photonic integrated circuit characterization experience, laser physics knowledge, and hands-on optical testing expertise.

Own the company’s IT infrastructure and security program as its first dedicated IT hire. Responsibilities include managing devices, networks, identity, access, cloud security, endpoint protection, vendors, compliance, incident response, backups, and disaster recovery. The role will build zero-trust architecture, SIEM capabilities, security policies, and certification roadmaps while supporting engineering infrastructure across macOS, Linux, Windows, AWS, GCP, and on-premises systems.

Responsibilities include characterizing passive SiN components, lasers, amplifiers, and superconducting photon detectors; automating fiber coupling and alignment; creating data acquisition and processing systems; documenting test methods; and communicating results to design and integration teams. Requires hands-on photonics testing, laser characterization, and Python expertise, with cryogenic, SNSPD, wafer-level testing, and database experience preferred.

Design and fabricate cryogenic photonic and superconducting devices, including SiN passive components and SNSPDs. Own end-to-end prototyping in cleanroom environments, optimize manufacturing processes, establish SOPs and Processes of Record, maintain PDKs and component libraries, and collaborate with testing, packaging, and systems teams to improve device performance and development cycles.
