Manages a software engineering team responsible for high-scale ad-serving systems. Provides technical direction, supports architecture and engineering practices, collaborates with product management, drives infrastructure improvements, reviews work quality, and develops team performance. The role requires distributed application development experience, cloud deployment knowledge, strong SQL skills, monitoring tools expertise, and proficiency in C++, Java, Go, or Rust. This position is onsite four days per week in Englewood, Colorado.

Analyzes wholesale voice, IP transit, peering, and CDN pricing, margins, traffic, financial performance, and deal structures. Builds pricing, forecasting, capacity, COGS, and what-if models; loads rate sheets; produces management reporting; monitors customer trends; resolves invoice disputes; and partners with Finance and Sales on pricing decisions and margin optimization.

Design scalable, low-latency distributed backend services; optimize performance; drive reliability, observability, and cloud-native adoption; establish engineering standards; collaborate across Product, Infrastructure, SRE, and Data Engineering; and mentor engineers. The role requires operating production systems processing billions of auctions and potentially millions of requests per second, with occasional nights and weekends as needed.

Develops territories, prospects through cold calling and partnerships, presents solutions, manages sales pipelines, meets quotas, and coordinates with technical and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
