Cochlear Benefits Overview

Provide clinical diagnostic and device care (cochlear implants, hearing aids, bone-anchored devices) while supporting Medical Affairs research and data tasks. Duties include audiologic and vestibular testing, device activations and reprogramming, data entry and analysis, study coordination, technical clinician support, and cross-department collaboration. Combination of on-site clinical training and office-based Medical Affairs projects.

Reviews reimbursement billing orders before shipment to verify accuracy, payer requirements, eligibility, authorizations, benefits, warranty status, and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, CMS, and applicable regulations. Identifies and escalates process gaps, documents coaching opportunities, supports quality improvements, and collaborates with reimbursement, billing, finance, customer service, collections, and supply chain teams to reduce payment risk and ensure timely, clean claims.

Lead US and Canada market access, reimbursement, and government affairs strategy for cochlear implant technologies. Oversee payer engagement, coding/payment initiatives (HCPCS/CPT, Medicare/Medicaid), integrate health economics, influence policy, remove access barriers, and build a high-performing Market Access team across commercial, clinical, regulatory, medical affairs, and HEOR stakeholders.
