Maintains and supports the City’s multi-site P25 radio communications network and related infrastructure. Installs, configures, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and upgrades radio, electronic, network, microwave, firmware, and software systems. Provides 24/7 technical support, performs preventive maintenance, programs radios, manages system security and documentation, coordinates with public safety and government agencies, evaluates new technology, and trains system users.

Maintains, troubleshoots, configures, and repairs traffic signal systems, signal cabinets, vehicle detection equipment, communications networks, street lighting, preemption systems, and lightning protection devices. Interprets plans, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical regulations; programs traffic signal controllers; operates transportation equipment; responds independently to emergencies; and provides guidance and training to junior traffic signal personnel.

Develops sustainability resources, policies, and programs for the City of Lakewood. Responsibilities may include climate action, sustainable land use and transportation, zero waste, economic development, communications, outreach, data tracking, staff reports, public presentations, and cross-departmental collaboration. The role engages diverse stakeholders, manages multiple projects, supports consensus building, and may supervise staff. Regular evening and occasional weekend meetings are required.

Performs entry-level sales and use tax compliance audits for businesses, applying auditing procedures, accounting principles, and tax regulations. Prepares workpapers, schedules, supporting documentation, assessments, refunds, and audit reports. Provides taxpayer education and assists with more complex audits and taxpayer services under supervision. The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, communication, arithmetic, and the ability to interpret tax codes and identify compliance issues.

Assists with planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting therapeutic recreation programs for children and adults with disabilities. Conducts participant assessments, develops goals, completes case studies, supports camp programming, assists with personal care and outings, delivers training, monitors registrations and feedback, attends meetings, and completes a special project under CTRS supervision.

Assists with implementing and facilitating therapeutic recreation programs for people of varying ages and abilities. Supervises and supports participants and volunteers, facilitates activities, redirects inappropriate behavior, manages safety risks, assists with transfers and activities of daily living, and supports classes, outings, sports, dances, special events, and overnight programs. The role also requires teamwork, professional conduct, accurate timekeeping, and emergency responsiveness.

Provides case management and direct support to juvenile and adult participants in a police-led diversion program. Engages clients in field, detention, and community settings; assesses needs; uses trauma-informed care and Motivational Interviewing; makes referrals; documents cases; builds relationships with service providers; and collaborates with law enforcement and community partners to reduce recidivism and improve wellbeing.

Manages the City’s CDBG and related HUD grant programs, including planning, application review, budgeting, implementation, compliance, reporting, and funding allocations. Prepares HUD plans and performance reports, provides technical assistance and training, coordinates government and community partners, and presents recommendations to public boards and officials. Analyzes housing and homelessness issues, develops policies and strategies, monitors complex projects, and ensures federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.
