The electrical engineer will provide technical expertise, manage projects, mentor staff, collaborate across teams, and ensure successful project delivery in renewable energy.

Responsible for substation physical design, project planning, client relations, and staff development. Requires strong technical and project management skills.

Design and analyze DC and AC solar collection systems and power plant controllers for renewable energy projects. Prepare plans, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and proposals. Manage projects, mentor staff, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and maintain client relationships. Support project execution, ensure milestones, and perform occasional fieldwork (10–15%).

Entry-level electrical engineer to support multidisciplinary design teams in Barr's Colorado or Utah offices. Work includes power and controls design for power plants, refineries, mining, and water/wastewater facilities; performing calculations and analyses; preparing drawings, specifications, cost estimates, equipment selection, and client communication. Hybrid role with up to 10–15% domestic fieldwork. EIT required or obtainable within one year.

Design and produce detailed electrical drawings for power distribution, controls, and lighting (600V and below) using AutoCAD Electrical and CADD. Coordinate equipment, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform occasional field visits to industrial sites, and support project delivery and client needs.

Design and deliver substation physical design deliverables: layouts, elevations, bills of material, conduit/equipment layouts, and calculations (grounding, cable/conduit/transformer sizing, lightning protection, bus bracing). Prepare specifications, manage project milestones, coordinate with clients and internal teams, support staff development, and ensure timely, on-budget project execution.

Lead and manage cultural resources projects across the Four Corners region, overseeing budgets, permits, field investigations, reporting, and client/regulatory coordination. Mentor staff, direct field crews and subconsultants, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business development and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Perform detailed electrical design for industrial power, control, lighting, and distribution systems (600V and below) using AutoCAD Electrical/CADD. Coordinate equipment, integrate multidisciplinary drawings, conduct occasional field visits, collaborate with engineers and clients, and meet project schedules and safety/site requirements.

Lead geochemical projects focusing on mine waste and environmental remediation, providing technical direction, overseeing data analysis, and engaging clients. Manage budgets and mentor staff while supporting business development efforts.
