Over the past year, Boulder-based Zayo Group has added over 150 people to its team - and is on track to continue that hiring pace over the next year, communications manager Crystal Thomas said.

To accommodate the consistent growth, the 1,500-person company, which provides fiber-based Bandwidth Infrastructure services, will open a 24,000-square foot office in LoDo. The space will house about 125 of Zayo’s 400 Colorado employees; a mix of new hires and existing team members from other offices will work out of the LoDo office.

The new office, which will open in August, will be Zayo’s fourth in Colorado including one in Louisville, in Boulder and in Greenwood Village. The company’s European headquarters are in London and Paris to accommodate the 14,490 buildings in eight countries it serves.

“Given the industry’s deep roots in Denver, establishing a larger local presence was an important strategic goal for Zayo,” chairman and chief executive Dan Caruso said in a statement. “We look forward to engraining ourselves into Denver’s vibrant startup and entrepreneurial scene.”
