Vantor, a Westminster-based company specializing in spatial intelligence technology, announced the appointment of its new executive vice president and general manager of its U.S. government business. Will Cocos assumes the role after serving as Vantor’s chief transformation officer since 2023.

“Will brings a rare combination of firsthand operational experience, transformation leadership and a deep understanding of where Vantor is headed,” Dan Smoot, Vantor’s CEO, said in a statement. “He understands what it means to rely on intelligence in high-consequence environments, and he knows how to turn strategy and advanced technology into capabilities that work in the real world.”

In his new capacity, Cocos will oversee Vantor’s work across the U.S. defense, intelligence and civil government communities, helping deliver mission-ready capabilities to warfighters and other operators.

“My priority is getting the right capabilities into the hands of U.S. warfighters, analysts and other mission users faster,” Cocos said. “We need to stay relentlessly focused on what our customers need, including sustaining what they rely on today, removing friction and moving new technology into operational use. That means building for real-world conditions: under time pressure, at the edge and in environments where connectivity or GPS cannot be assumed.”
