
Topo Designs, a Denver-based outdoor brand that creates sustainable and durable apparel and accessories, recently appointed Matt Williams as its new chief executive officer. Williams previously served as the company's chief operating officer. Effective immediately, Williams will succeed co-founder Mark Hansen in the role of CEO. Hansen will occupy a seat on Topo’s board of directors to help with strategic growth initiatives.
After joining Topo Designs as COO in 2019, Williams was responsible for overseeing operational functions like supply chain management, customer experience, information technology, accounting and more. As CEO, Williams will work alongside co-founder Jedd Rose to build the organizational structure to support Topo’s upcoming growth plans.
Topo’s products are sold in more than 30 countries across six continents. It operates five proprietary retail stores and has wholesale distribution to 1,200 locations. The company pulled in fresh funding from Gart Capital Partners back in March. The money will go toward its direct-to-comsumer, retail and wholesale channels and partnerships.
