Twitter Layoffs May Include Boulder Office

Twitter announced plans to layoff as much as 8 percent of their global workforce earlier this week. The company has maintained an office in Boulder since purchasing Gnip last year. Otter well represented in BizWest's annual 40 Under 40 list

BizWest revealed their list of Northern Colorado’s best and brightest leaders under the age of 40 this week. The list includes a veritable who’s who of the greater Ft. Collins area. Copper Mountain and Winter Park are getting a drone video service

California-based Cape Products announced their intention to offer a drone video service at nine ski areas around the country, including Copper Mountain and Winter Park. Boulder will be U.S. home for Portuguese company

The Portugal-based firm Morphis plans on opening a major new office in Boulder. The offices are expected to employ as many as 50 people in the next two years, and are in addition to the company's offices in Portugal, Spain, Britain and Brazil. PotGuide.com acquires KindReviews.com

The Denver-based PotGuide.com announced they were acquiring Niwot-based KindReviews.com in an all equity deal. PotGuide.com is a graduate of Canopy Boulder, and has about 800 thousand page views a month. The financial details of the deal have not been released. Uber goes national with Amber Alert System tested in Colorado

Uber chose Colorado as a testing ground for an Amber Alert system that pushed out alerts to their drivers. Apparently the system worked well enough that the company now plans to push it out to drivers in 180 U.S. cities. [Uber rolls out Amber Alert technology nationwide, Denver Business Journal]
