The Social, Economic and Legal Impact of AI and Automation - an Expert Panel, August 7 at 6:15 p.m.

Analytics Club Boston is hosting a panel of industry experts at PwC's Seaport Offices in Boston to provide attendees with a glimpse into the future impact of AI. Topics will cover AI’s effect on jobs, competition and society as a whole. Speakers will include the president of Neurala and the head of quantextual research acceleration at State Street Global.

Java and A Case of Spring Boot + AngularJS + Spring Data + JPA, August 8 at 6 p.m.

The Boston Java Meetup Group will gather to talk about a new framework called Spring Boot, which makes it easy to create stand-alone, production-grade Spring based Applications. Most Spring Boot applications need very little Spring configuration, so Spring Boot provides an easy way to quickly and simply run a java application through an embedded server. This event will also include a live coding session led by senior software engineer Miya Longwe.

Software Testing Lean Coffee @ John Harvard's, August 8 at 6:30 p.m.

The Ministry of Testing Boston Meetup group has reserved an actual round table for this round-table discussion about the Agile Software Development methodology. Discussion topics will be loosely related to software testing or quality assurance, but the group gets to vote on what topics they’d like to cover. There will also be beer.
