Red Canary has been acquired by cloud security company Zscaler in a move aimed at strengthening unified, AI-driven security operations by combining Red Canary’s threat detection expertise with Zscaler’s zero trust platform.

To ensure continuity for customers and partners, Red Canary will continue to operate as an independent business unit within Zscaler, continuing security operations center innovation while gaining access to greater scale and resources, according to a news release.

Part of the integration will involve Red Canary’s agentic AI technology, which will be embedded into Zscaler’s Data Fabric for Security. Together, the companies aim to deliver a streamlined, comprehensive SOC solution that improves threat detection, speeds response times and simplifies operations.

“As part of Zscaler, we’re bringing together Red Canary’s proven AI-powered threat detection and deep security operations expertise with Zscaler’s leading zero trust platform. Together, we will empower customers and partners to find and stop threats faster — dramatically reducing investigation and response times,” Brian Beyer, CEO of Red Canary, said in a statement.

Following the acquisition, Red Canary will operate under the new brand, Red Canary, a Zscaler company.
