RVC Monthly Pitch Event, September 8 at 5 p.m.
Every month the Rockies Venture Club hosts a pitch event. The event starts with networking over free drinks and appetizers, and then a panel of experts will discuss a subject. Of course you’ll also get to hear company pitches from local up-and-comers. It’s a great way to meet some interesting people and hear some innovative ideas.
WordPress Happiness Hour at the Denver Library, September 8 at 6 p.m.
How cool is it to live in a city with a public library that puts on Wordpress Happiness Hours? This event is aimed at just about anybody who wants to learn how to use Wordpress’ notoriously frustrating Dashboard. Bring your laptop and bring some questions — somebody there will be able to answer them for you.
New Tech Fort Collins: Financing a Startup, September 8 at 6 p.m.
It’s something that every startup founder struggles with — how to finance their brilliant idea. You’ll hear solutions and best practices from people like: Peter Adams, Director at the Rocky’s Venture Club; Michael Knight, CEO of Prime Capital Connections; and Krista Morgan, CEO of P2Bi. The event’s sponsors will provide beer and pizza, so come early to network.
Startup Grind Denver Hosts Jose Vieitez, September 10 at 6 p.m.
Startup Grind is going to be hosting Jose Vieitez, a cofounder and co-director of the Boomtown Accelerator. Vieitez has decades of experience as an entrepreneur, as well as a degree from Stanford and experience working at Google. He’s worth listening to. The event will feature networking, a fireside chat, and then some more networking.
Happy Hour Headshots, September 11 at 3 p.m.
In this day and age, looking professional online goes a long way — and a good headshot goes a long to et some professional headshots taken. Your social media followers will thank you, and people who don't know you will think you're super important.
