I'm Starting a Free Educational Tech Magazine for Kids, and I want Your Input!

Hello!! I'm a writer/editor in the Denver area. My passions are helping kids learn in ways that are fun and intuitive and promoting education in our community. In the past, I was a section editor at a magazine in Nashville where I developed a successful print/online educational feature. I moved to Colorado two years ago. Since then, I've been busy working on a YA book to introduce kids to science, but I still found time to volunteer as editor-in-chief of a magazine for Colorado art educators.
Now, I'm starting a new project, and I would love your feedback, collaboration, and expert opinions!! I would like to start a free, online tech magazine for kids. There are so many tech resources in the Denver area that it seems wasteful not to tap into them. I want this magazine to be so engaging that kids read it for fun, but I want it to be educational enough that teachers can use articles in their classrooms.

At some point in the future, I'm sure I will be looking for advertisers and sponsors. But right now, I am only interested in developing stellar content. I would love story ideas, interesting contacts, and news about topics that would be inspiring to young readers.

If you would like to chat over email, talk on the phone, or go get a coffee, I would love to meet up with anyone who is willing to talk about this idea. I know that it will meet a need in our community and help prepare kids for the future. Please message me with any feedback. You can also reach me by email at [email protected].

Thanks!!

Deborah
