FluentStream, a software company that provides communications solutions for small and medium businesses, has a new CEO in Kerrin Parker, who has been serving as its chief operating officer since 2022.

Outgoing CEO Cass Gilmore started with FluentStream in 2018 and is now stepping into the role of company chairman. He oversaw FluentStream’s strategic shift from a regional to national player in the SMB market, and Parker is expected to maintain that growth.

Parker previously served as CEO of magicJack for Business, which transitioned to focusing on the SMB market under her leadership. She also spent time as CEO for Broadsmart, spearheading the profitable restructuring that led to its acquisition by Ooma. Her resume includes additional experience as managing director of cloud services for ShoreTel and executive vice president of operations and customer success for M5 Networks.

“Cass’s leadership has resulted in unparalleled customer service, a competitive UCaaS platform that meets the needs of the SMB community and a company culture that allows employees to thrive. I intend to extend and expand these pillars that have come to define us as an organization and look forward to continuing our momentum of growth and innovation,” Parker said in a statement.
