Entegris, an East Coast-based supplier of advanced materials and process solutions for the semiconductor and high-tech industries, has opened its new 135,000-square-foot Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Colorado Springs. The facility is expected to expand the company’s production capacity for filtration and purification products and semiconductor wafer carriers known as front-opening unified pods.

According to a Wednesday announcement, Entegris broke ground on the facility in 2023 and began commercial operations earlier this year, with construction and ongoing operations creating hundreds of jobs in the region.

With more than 30 years of presence in Colorado, Entegris continues to invest in the local community through partnerships with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, the Colorado School of Mines and Academy District 20 schools to strengthen the local technology talent pipeline. The company also collaborates with Hiring Our Heroes and the Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center to support its goal of hiring veterans and military family members for half of its workforce.
