Otherwise, things could get awkward quickly. This event features a panel of some of Colorado’s top recruiters, who will share their secrets of finding the right person for the right job.
Entrepreneur Pitch Night, September 23 at 5:30 p.m.
The Boulder Startup Meetup is hosting a community pitch night. The event will feature 4 startups that will give 5 minute pitches to the audience. The audience will then have 10 minutes to give feedback. After the pitches there will be networking at a cash bar. The companies pitching include: Envisiontel, Flowh, The Level Market and Community Matters.
What I Wish I Knew When I Was A Young Professional, September 23 at 5:30 p.m.
If only you could buy hindsight. Colorado's Young Professionals will be sharing some of theirs for free this Wednesday night. Hear from four of Colorado’s top marketing professionals about what they would have done differently if they knew what they know now. After a heavy dose of retrospect, there’ll be networking and snacks.
Hack the Arts Hackfest, September 23 at 6 p.m.
Programmers, developers and artists are invited to come and test their skills. You’ll be tasked with creating a web or mobile app that marries technology and fine/performing arts — and you have to do it in under 3 hours. I'm thinking a Where's Waldo style 'spot the zombie' game that hides zombies inside Renaissance era paintings of the apocalypse. Come early and come hungry, beer and pizza will be provided.
Built Your Own Peer-to-Peer FaceTime App, September 26 at 8 a.m.
Sure, there are lots of real-time video communications apps out there: Skype, Hangouts, FaceTime, just name a few. But how cool would it be to make your own? This workshop is designed for beginners to learn how to code and create simple tools for making video calls over the internet. Pretty sweet, right?
