DENVER, CO. (March 12, 2015) - Cheddar Up founders Nichole Montoya and Molly DiCarlo head to Austin on Monday, March 16 to pitch at the tech industry’s largest (and arguably most influential) conference for the latest in who’s who and what’s what for all things digital – South by Southwest (SXSW). Cheddar Up is an innovative group payments platform that is specifically focused on solving this problem for schools and moms.
The founders will be participating in HATCH pitch. HATCH pitch is the revolutionary pitch competition for startups making life better. Twelve awesome startups rose to the top from a pool of hundreds from around the world to compete head-to-head to become this year’s pitch winner. These ‘making life better’ startups will present to a panel of world-class judges consisting of top VCs and Fortune 100 enterprise executives.
The female founder duo has quietly amassed the attention of national tech audiences since the 2013 launch of their group payment platform. This latest invitation is immediately following the company’s acceptance into one of Silicon Valley’s finest startup accelerators – 500 Startups – and is on the heels of being selected to pitch at Women 2.0’s PITCH competition last fall.
“Cheddar Up was selected from a pool of hundreds of eager applicants, because of its passion for a great concept that improves people’s lives. They have turned this into a solid business model and then went out and made it happen. We are excited for them to have the chance to tell our awesome judges and the audience at SXSW all about it,” said Greg Wright, Founder of HATCH pitch.
“We’re honored to be selected to present at such a huge industry venue,” said Nichole Montoya, Co-founder and CEO of Cheddar Up. “Making people’s lives easier is at the core of what we do and we’re excited to make more people aware of Cheddar Up, the problems it solves, and the hundreds of ways to use it.”
