RMACC High-Performance Computing Symposium 2017, August 15 at 1 p.m.

This week, the University of Colorado Boulder will be hosting a symposium to bring together researchers, administrators and users of high-performance computing systems. The three-day event will feature panel discussions and hands-on tutorials that cover the latest research, developments and best practices in computational science and networking.

Women on the Rise with Havenly Co-Founder Lee Mayer, August 16 at 7:30 a.m.

Join Havenly co-founder and CEO Lee Mayer as she discusses her experiences building a successful tech startup. The event starts bright and early at the Commons on Champa’s new Women in Kind coworking space and will include breakfast for all attendees.

RVC Angel Accelerator: Complete Course on How to be an Angel Investor, August 17 at 9 a.m.

Interested in spreading your wings and becoming an angel investor? This day-long investor bootcamp is for you. Attendees will spend the day learning things like how to value a company, what to look for in a pitch and how to negotiate terms and conditions.

Happy Hour Mixer & DenverWorks Clothing Drive w/ Connecting People, August 17 at 6 p.m.

Join Bootcampers Collective for a casual happy hour and networking event in support of a good cause. Come mingle with fellow coders, creatives and techies and bring along a non-perishable food item or new or gently used professional clothing item to donate to the DenverWorks donation drive.

Fintech + Alexa Hackathon, August 19 at 8 a.m.

Capital One DevExchange is hosting an exclusive fintech hackathon at its Capital One Cafe in Union Station. Participants will get access to a suite of Capital One APIs — including one not available to the public — and will work with the Amazon Alexa team to build new apps that combine the technologies.
