On April 19th Israeli Cybersecurity expert Menny Barzilay spoke at the University of Denver's Cybersecurity Summit.  Barzilay along with four other Israelis spoke about his country's massive R&D into the field of Cybersecurity.

Even though Israel is a small country it has 10% of the world's venture capital in regards to cybersecurity.  Barzilay mentioned that his country spends more than any other on R&D which extends to the 430 companies involved in the field.

This of course comes on the heels of Gov. John Hickenlooper's travel to Israel last fall.  The Governor is looking to increase the area's prestige as a budding cybersecurity hub with companies like LogRhythm, Webroot, and ProtectWise all in the area.

Hopefully the insights taken from the talk will help boost our security firms, and with the state of the world it seems like this is a field with an ever increasing chance for growth.
